Occupational Therapy With Kids Optimal
At Kids Optimal we specialise in occupational therapy to support children and young people with developmental disabilities or delays. Based in Northamptonshire and also working in surrounding areas Kids Optimal works with individuals, families and educational settings to provide a wide range of children's occupational therapy services. Using OT assessments and interventions we can work to support children and young people to develop their skills in many areas including:

At Kids Optimal we are experienced in working with children and young people aged 3 to 25 years old with a range of conditions including:

Our Approach
Our services take a holistic approach to children's occupational therapy, recognising that every child is unique and individual strengths, motivations and interests are always at the centre of our interventions. Kids Optimal keeps children in mind and we offer a playful and engaging approach to help kids feel comfortable and motivated. We have a variety of specialised OT assessments, equipment and materials to support each child's unique needs and interests. We work closely with parents and caregivers as well as schools to understand each child's needs and goals, using evidence-based interventions to promote progress.

Charges apply as per our hourly rate (£70p/hour)
Assessment Packages

A variety of assessment packages are available including:
- Pre School Screening Assessment
- Handwriting Assessment
- Basic Assessment/Sensory Screener
- Full Comprehensive Assessment
- We are able to respond to and include EHCP advise requests within our written reports
- Prices range from £280 to £580
- We can advise on which assessment is the most appropriate for your child.

Therapy Packages

Our 6 and 12 week therapy packages include:
- 6 or 12 direct therapy sessions
- Goal setting & written therapy plan
- Progress summary and feedback meeting
- Prices range from £600 to £1000
- Bespoke therapy packages are also available.
Intervention plan only:
- A written programme for home or school to implement with the child to address highlighted areas of functional challenges.
- Includes 1 direct session with an OT in order to demonstrate implementation of activities.
- Prices start from £210

We offer service delivery in specialist and mainstream educational settings. Our services in school range from providing whole school approaches, class based strategies, skills groups and direct interventions for individuals. We also offer consultation and advice services and delivery of EHCP provision.
As well as individual consultations we are also able to offer regular weekly, monthly and termly commissions.

Travel Charges

A travel charge will be made for journeys of more than 15 minutes each way at our standard hourly rate (£70 p/hour) or part thereof to cover therapist time plus 45p per mile. Distance is measured from our registered base.
